First Public School Experience
Dear Linda,
I just wanted to write to you about our first ever public school experience since we got off program last Spring. Tim started 8th grade this year and we just received his first report card. If you recall, he did not qualify as "learning disabled" when tested last spring, so he was put into all regular classes. Well - results are in and Tim made 2 A's, 3 B's and 2 C's!!! We are praising God for such a miracle. We are also thanking him for bringing us to 'Hope and a Future'. Without the 2 years under your program he would NEVER have been able to accomplish this.
Not only are his academics going well, but he is also playing football for the school team. He is the running back and has made 3 touchdowns already this year! He is also the new "hottie" at school and we are having a hard time keeping the girls at bay!
I'll never forget the first time I head about your program. I came to a lecture that you had in Smyrna. I left there, got in my car and could hardly drive because tears were streaming down my face. For the first time in years, I had hope. Now that hope has turned into reality. We still have alot of hard work ahead, (and Tim's good grades did not come easily, believe me...) but we are seeing the fruit of our labor. Thank you again for giving hope to so many families. You were a godsend to mine.
