Hope and a Future Orientation

Prospective families must either attend a seminar given by Hope and a Future or listen to a seminar of Hope And A Future on tape (CD or DVD versions available). This is the orientation for the evaluation. The prospective family's understanding of Hope and a Future's Neurodevelopmental Approach will be greatly enhanced and the assessment will be more meaningful.

Scheduling an Evaluation

Services are based on four-month time periods, or trimesters. Each trimester begins with an evaluation. The evaluation includes an assessment and program designed specifically for the individual needs of the client, instruction for implementation of the home based program, and support for the trimester. Initial evaluations may be scheduled once the prospective client's history/application form, along with a $350.00 deposit securing the appointment, has been received. Revisit evaluations are scheduled four months in advance, at the time of the current evaluation. A deposit of $250.00 is required for scheduling a revisit evaluation. Deposits are required on all appointments and will be cashed six weeks in advance of the first day of an evaluation session for that location. Cancellations made after six weeks prior of the first day of an evaluation session will result in forfeiture of the deposit. Payment for the balance due is required at the time of the appointment.

Trimester evaluations are required as part of Hope and a Future's consulting services. Revisit evaluations and Telephone/Video Evaluations are the primary options for meeting those requirements. A Written Report is the minimum option for extending services and meeting trimester requirements. Trimester options are imperative for proper monitoring, support, and effectiveness of a Neurodevelopmental Approach program.  Reevaluation fees will be adjusted when trimester requirements are not fulfilled.

In the event a child is sick on the day of their evaluation, the parent may come in without the child and have the evaluation based on parental input, they may have their appointment via phone at the scheduled time, or they may schedule a Telephone/Video Evaluation, with a Hope And A Future certified evaluator, at a later date.

The Evaluation Process

Families should plan on the evaluation process taking two hours. Families will obtain their program instruction online (high speed internet connection needed).  The program will be available online for 30 days (additional time available for $10.00 per 30 day period).  Families should maintain contact with Hope and a Future through email, phone, fax, or monthly update forms.  The individual family determines the level of support a family utilizes. The neurodevelopmentalists of International Christian Association of Neurodevelopmentalists (ICAN) have established an internet support group for families participating in a neurodevelopmental program, as an additional option for support.
